These agreements were announced at the sidelines of COP28 in the United Arab Emirates.

The agreement, which is linked to U.S. gas indices, is contingent on Mexico Pacific's final investment decision (FID) on the proposed third train at the Saguaro Energia LNG Project, expected in the first half of 2024.

The project is developed by U.S. energy company NextDecade, with construction led by U.S. firm Bechtel Energy under an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) agreement.

The White Dunes project, spearheaded by Falcon Capital Dakhla, is set to emerge as a prominent hub for the production of what is touted to be "some of the world's cheapest green hydrogen."

By formalizing a framework agreement, Baker Hughes and Wison intend to streamline business processes and standardize technical products, ensuring optimal solutions during project bids and execution while catering to market opportunities.

This step follows the successful completion of the pipeline route survey, which involved a comprehensive assessment of the gas offtake routes from the developments.

This marks a significant regulatory milestone for the project, which includes the addition of two liquefaction trains capable of producing up to 13 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of liquefied natural gas (LNG).

The deal also includes associated gas supply to Commonwealth LNG's facility in Cameron, Louisiana.

The value of this LNG supply deal falls within the range of $450 million (AED 1.65 billion) to $550 million (AED 2 billion).

Under this agreement, BASF will purchase approximately 0.8 million tonnes per annum of liquefied natural gas from Cheniere's Sabine Pass Liquefaction Expansion Project.
